Municipalities
Introduction
They are important affiliates of Baghdad
Mayoralty as they give their services through (Cleaning up,
Sewer, Water, Roads, agriculture, rehabilitation of the
residential houses & trade-building complex) sections.
The cadre of every municipality tries to give their best to the
citizens and always exert efforts to develop the level of their
services.
The duties of the municipalities are:
1- Keeping the city clean by lifting the garbage to landfills.
2- Parceling out garbage's bags for people every month.
3- Cleaning and maintaining Sewer networks.
4- Rehabilitating the main & sub sewer lines and repairing the
collapsed pipes.
5- Rehabilitating the main & sub sewer stations.
6- Rehabilitating and repairing raw & treated water networks,
and make water service connections to schools, governmental
institutes, and new houses.
7- Rehabilitating roads, painting roadsides, and setting up new
service projects.
8- Enlarging the green areas and transforming landfills into
green agricultural areas. Also, taking care of Parks, and
agricultural areas.
9- Giving people building permissions and following up the
complaints submitted to the municipality.
